Yokohama ATG Tires (Y-ATG) takes advantage of EIMA to present powerful solutions for the challenges of today’s agriculture. By providing hands-on experiences and latest portfolio information on key treads such as the Agri Star II and the Agriflex 372 VF, this international exhibition allows to highlight the performance as well as end-users’ and scientific judgements. With the Alliance 590 for trailers and tankers, the Alliance 585 for telehandlers, backhoes and compact loaders, the Galaxy EarthPro RC for tractors and sprayers as well as the Galaxy Flotstar for trailers, four more high performance treads are on display on Y-ATG’s Stand B/1 in Hall 16.

“We are happy to be back at EIMA again. We are looking forward to meeting with farmers, contractors and industry peers to open up fruitful exchanges on current topics such as avoiding soil compaction, benefits of VF tires, and reducing fuel consumption and cost, to mention just three of the prevailing challenges. We are particularly looking forward to presenting our tire solutions backed by recent scientific study results and highly positive customer feedback”, says Massimo Mori, Country Manager Italy at Y-ATG.

Agri Star II: particular success story across Europe
One of the treads on display will be the unique Agri Star II. The tire range now consists of an impressive total of 70 sizes in the 70 and 85 series. As the new “star of the fields”, the Agri Star II truly excels in terms of performance, prolonged traction, durability and design, thus offering excellent value for money. That is why the Agri Star II leaves many happy users across European markets – and currently makes Italy the fastest growing market for this tire in Europe.

With the Alliance Agriflex 372 VF, another high-performance tread for tractors and combines is on display. A recent study in Denmark confirmed that – due to its ability to be operated with up to 40% lower inflation pressure whilst carrying the same load as a standard radial tire – this tire allows for reduced soil compaction and significant yield increases.

Broad competence for agriculture – and far beyond
Soil protection and flotation are key issues for modern agriculture: That is why the heavy-duty agro-industrial tread Alliance 590 for trailers, tankers and waggons, and the steel-belted Galaxy Flotstar for trailers are also on display at EIMA. As latest addition to Galaxy’s superior range of agricultural tires, the EarthPro RC was deliberately designed to meet today’s needs of sprayer operations. With its high tread depth and “D” speed rating, this tire provides excellent traction and allows for high speeds, thus ensuring increased efficiency and productivity. Last but not least, the Alliance 585 represents Y-ATG’s vast competence in the agricultural and construction segment of telehandlers, backhoes and compact loaders.

Increased production capacity
In August 2022, production was taken up at Yokohama ATG Tires’ (Y-ATG) new Visakhapatnam Plant in India. This plant was built to expand the production capacity of Y-ATG, a Yokohama Rubber Group company engaged in the manufacturing and sale of off-highway tires (OHT) such as those used on agricultural machinery and construction equipment, for example. The new plant was originally scheduled to take up production in the first quarter of 2023. The earlier start will enable Y-ATG to respond more quickly to the expanding global demand for OHT tires.
